FAQ for new dancers.
Absolutely! No previous dance experience is needed.
Our beginner classes start from the very basics and guide you step by step. You don’t need to be a great dancer or have a perfect sense of rhythm.
Just come, have fun, and discover Tango!
It’s a kind of Zen question. ;-)
There’s no need to wait until you’ve mastered everything. Once you feel comfortable with the basics, you can start enjoying a Milonga — at your own pace.
Be patient with yourself, especially during your first six months. Tango is a journey, not a test.
Absolutely! You don’t need to bring a partner.
We regularly change partners during class. Even if you come with your own partner, we encourage you to dance with different people — it’s a great way to learn faster and develop your Tango skills.
We also keep an eye on the balance between Leaders and Followers, so everyone gets plenty of opportunities to dance.
Come alone, meet your Tango community, and enjoy the dance!
Keep it simple! Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. For your first class, any comfortable shoes with a smooth sole will do — no special Tango shoes are needed.
As you progress and feel ready for Tango shoes, you can find them at DANCE FACTORY Luxembourg.
No fancy outfit. No special equipment. Just come and dance!
Nothing scary — we promise! We’ll start with very simple things to help you feel the music and connect with your partner.
You’ll learn step by step, at your own pace, with our experienced teachers there to guide and support you.
Relax, have fun, and enjoy your first steps into Tango!
Not at all! In Buenos Aires, people from their teens to their 90s and beyond enjoy Tango — so you certainly don’t need to be super fit.
Your sense of rhythm, balance and coordination will naturally develop through our exercises and practice.
Most importantly, bring your love of music and the desire to enjoy it together with your partner.
Of course! Tango is a language of its own — you can learn a lot through movement, music and connection.
Our teachers speak English, French and Spanish, and we use clear demonstrations and simple explanations to make the classes easy to follow.
Don’t worry about the language. Let the Tango speak!
Absolutely! And you’re not alone — many people feel a little shy when they start.
Luxembourg’s Tango community is small, and you’ll quickly start recognising familiar faces. Take your time, build your confidence, and enjoy the dance at your own pace.
No pressure, no judgement — just enjoy the dance!
