Maricel is an internationally acclaimed Argentine tango dancer and teacher. She was Metropolitan runner-up in Tango Salon in 2005, third place at the Tango Salon World Championship in 2007, and runner-up at the Stage Tango World Championship in 2008 with Maximiliano Cristiani.

She has performed in renowned tango venues in Buenos Aires and toured internationally with prestigious tango companies, including M¡longa, performing at theaters such as the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Sydney Opera House, Oslo Opera House, Sadler’s Wells in London and New York City Center.

Since 2009, she has been part of La Viruta Tango Club, where she currently teaches and dances with Horacio “Pebete” Godoy.

Horacio “Pebete” Godoy is one of the most renowned Argentine tango dancers, teachers and DJs of Buenos Aires. He began his professional career in 1991 and has worked with prestigious tango companies including Tanguera, Forever Tango, Tango Argentino and Chantecler Tango.

He is also the founder and director of La Viruta Tango Club, one of the most iconic tango venues in Buenos Aires, which he has been running since 1994. He has travelled extensively around the world, teaching and performing in more than 40 countries and at numerous international tango festivals.

Known for his deep musicality, expressive and rhythmic dancing, Horacio brings to his teaching the essence of Buenos Aires tango and the codes of the milonga.
